KBPS stands for kilobits per second,this measures how fast and how long the kilobits take.

The two main parts of the Internet are called World Wide Web and Electronic Mail.

5.Explain fully how an e-mail is sent by someone and then read by the recipient.
First the type in their message and then they type in the e-mail address that they wish to send it to ,after they press send.

6.What are the atttachments?Describe one potential problem with opening attachments.Attachments are files sent with an e-mail.One potential problem is that if you aren´t familiar with the e-mail address that has sent you the file, it could be a virus.

7.Explain two benefits and two problems of using e-mail.
Two benefits are that:e-mailing is cheaper than posting or faxing.Also the same message can be sent to various people at once.Two problems are that the hardware and software can be expensive if you just need it send e-mails.The e-mail won´t be read untill the recipient next checks his/her e-mails.

8.Explain teh difference between a search engine and a portal.
Search engines are websites that help you find otehr websites by using a keyword word.Portals are websites offering different services,linking up to search engines,e-mail & on-line shopping.

9.Explain what a URL is and how it is constructed.
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator ,the address of a web page.It can´t contain capital letters,spaces or certain types of punction but,can include full stops.

10.What country has the code'fr'?What is the country code for the USA?
fr stands for France and the code for the USA is us.

11.Explain what a hyperlink is and what it does.
A Hyperlink are teh bits on a web page that you can click on to go somewhere else.It can connect different parts of teh web,pages in websites or documents in computers.

Links to recently visited websites.

13.Explain how web pages that have alredy been visited can be displayed more quickly.
Because these websites are kept in a browser ,which is called history that is alredy on teh computer.

14.What´s the name for the process of making a file smaller?What´s it called when the file is expanded back to its original size?
The name of the process to make a file smaller is called a zip.To change it back to it's original size ,you have to exit the zip.

15.Give four rules of good website design.

Four rules of good website design are: 1-Remeber the needs of the intended audience,if possible test the designs on the target users.2-Keep teh overall design simple,use a similar layout on all the pages,so it's easier to navigate through the site.3-Keep graphics to a minium ,they increase teh file size and make download time longer.4-Keep the number of hyperlinks needed to reach anywhere to a minium.

Dynamic content enables websites to produce information that may change every time viewed.It is regenerated by a browser each time a page is loaded,like the time or date.
Also,it can display customised details depending on what information entered on previous pages.

On-line shoppers go on the retailer's website.Look out the products on sell,choose's what they would like to purchase.Then shopper choose's one of the following paying methods, paying online

Encrypted means secure, it protects you from hackers and viruses whilst paying on-line.

Copyright and libel affect UGC because it stops users from getting what they want quick easy and cheapier.

The pros of social networks are,people enjoying interacting withe ach otehr and having a sense of community.The cons are special privileges can be abused (opinions that you don't agree with yours can be removed.

Some of the online viedo content provided by amateurs are: Most of the content on video sharing websites is produced by amateurs on webcams,digital cameras or mobile phones.

The advantages of online software are :Document sharing is also useful for online training,The Software can keep a list of all the revisions that have been made them,You can also give other users permision to view & edit the document.This is good if you're working on joint projects or presentations,or if you just want some feedback.A disadvantage of online software is that it means that your documents & settings can be accessed through any computer with an Internet connection.
